Probate & Administration of Decedent’s Estates

Probate is the formal legal process that gives recognition to a will and appoints the executor or personal representative who will administer the estate and distribute the assets to the intended beneficiaries.  Estate Administration refers to the legal process of collecting and managing the estate, paying any debts and taxes, and distributing the remaining property to the heirs of the estate when a person dies without a will.

Our firm works with individuals who encounter the following situations: (i) a family member has died and a Last Will must be probated and an Executor appointed to settle the estate; (ii) a family member has died without a Last Will and an Administrator needs to be appointed for estate administration; (iii) a family member has died with or without a Last Will and real property that is part of the estate needs to be sold.
